Infographic Technician

An infographic designer creates visuals and prepares documents for publishing (posters, flyers, brochures, web content). They illustrate, build layouts, edit digital images and harmonize colors based on a brief.

They typically work in printing companies, advertising agencies, communication departments, publishing houses and design studios. With experience, they can move into production management roles.

• Prepare and build a mockup for a communication product
• Develop and present a visual concept
• Process the graphic elements of the deliverable
• Prepare the deliverable for publishing (prepress)
• Produce and finalize production work

In their daily work, the technician uses techniques and tools adapted to producing communication materials.

• Marketing, advertising and multimedia tools
• Office tools for document creation
• Communication techniques

They also develop awareness of intellectual property, regulations and professional communication (French and technical/commercial English).

Depending on the company structure, they report to the communication designer/producer and deliver work according to the project brief.
